Amazing Eye Shadow
I am so happy with my samples. The colors are beautiful, the eye shadow has a gentle silky fee, and the pigmentation is amazing - they are true to color and have great staying power, yet blend very easily when applying multiple colors. My new fave brand!! I have extremely sensitive eyes and this eye shadow doesn't irritate my eyes at all. This is a great formulation, wish I would have discovered this brand sooner! This brand is definitely a MUST try. I have blue eyes and reddish brown hair, have always worn more neutral shades, but decided to venture out and try new fresh shades. I tried the Celtic and Martini and I must say, it made my blue eyes "pop". I applied the Martini in the outer crease/corner, then using a thin eyeliner bush, applied it along my lash line and it looked amazing!

Happy with the samples
I love samples, they're a great way of testing a product. Not that there's anything wrong with the products, just sometimes makeup colors don't match my skin tone, I don't use the color that often, or I'm just not happy with the color. I purchased PowderColors in Wicked and Gypsy. Wicked is a light grey, I wear with a black eyeliner base. It's a little too light on its own, it's more of an accent. The gypsy is a nice violet. I love the feel of the powders finer and softer than the drugstore variety. The baggies are a bit tiny and hard to deal with, so I poured the powders into a spare contact lens case, one color in each cup. Peeled the labels off the baggies and put it on the lids. I may experiment with more colors, maybe mix some together to make a shade that's unique to me. My only wish is for a darker grey, or black.

It's so easy to see what colors look good on you and to try something new & bold. You can't go wrong with these samples. I found colors that I never would have tried. Be adventurous!
Needs a shaker container
I love the color "chai" that I ordered. It is the most perfect taupe-brown ever. However, I wish so much that it came in pressed form. I really hate how you can't choose how much shadow that you are loading onto your brush. At the very least, it needs a shaker lid (like mineral foundations have) so that you can shake a micro bit into the lid to dip your brush into. I also loved the color "spellbound" as well.

THE MARTINI COLOR
I have green eyes and I LOVE the martini. I tried both the celtic color and the martini, but the martin is BEAUTIFUL and brings out the green in my eyes! The celtic is a bit lighter - also beautiful - but doesn't work as well with my skin tone.
SAmples are great
Thank you for samples that we can actually purchase and try before we use them in a compact. The colors are rich and beautiful. The samples last a while, too. During these times of Covid, it is nice to have something I can actually try. I love trying the various colors.

Fun quarantine activity!
The only thing I regret is not getting more colors to try! Love playing around with the different colors, and getting the chance to try this product. The samples have plenty there to try a few days in a row. I've been seriously impressed by the fact that this eyemakeup doesnt crease during the day, and stays put!
Great product
I really liked the fact that the sample was such a rich color. It is often hard to purchase makeup online because the pictures online are not even close to the color of the actual product but that was not the case with the eye shadows they were true to the color.

I bought a Sample of "Chai" and a sample of "Sunset Strip" I love them both. They can be used for a classic day time look and then modified for a sexy night time look. They both really bring out my green eyes! They last all day too!

I have tried all the PowderColors colors. I love using them dry or wet or a combination of doing both. I have used some of the colors on my cheeks as blush. My absolute favorite color is Passage To India as they make my green eyes more green! The best way to use them and not make a mess is using them wet & this will make the color more vibrant. If you have bought the normal 2 gm size, pour a little of the product in the lid & wet your brush & then dip in product; this will make less of a mess as well and it will stay where you put it rather than it going on to other places on your face.

The best eyeshadow I've found
The light toned sparkly colors are beautiful. Yes there's a little mess but some dusting of shimmer under eyes and cheeks don't hurt and can be blended. Please come out with a sparkly version of flirtatious! It would be heavenly!

I love the shadows! I have not bought one that wasn't beautiful! They apply easily and stay on all day. I like to buy the samples so I can get many colors to try at once before making a larger purchase!

I ordered Chai. I absolutely love it! I wore it to an event and when I came home it was still on nicely and I did not use a primer. The product is soft and goes on very well. The color is matte and exactly as described. I have medium/neutral ( yellow undertones ) skin tone and black hair with hazel eyes. The color really made my eyes pop and did not make me look like I was tired or had a black eye as many brownish colors do. It looked natural. The sample is generous, for sure! I have had more than 3 applications so far... Still got more! ( tip, pour just a tiny bit onto a clean dish-- a little goes a long way! )
Great way to try out colors, use sparingly
I love the ability to sample colors for a low price and low shipping. Just need to remember to get excess off brush before applying. For example, I tried Passage to India and found it too dark on the first lid... but then used the remainder on the other and it was *perfect* on my medium skin. In fact, that is going to be my go-to neutral all-over lid shade. The Wicked was too sparkly for me, and the Chai too light to show but probably great on someone with fairer skin.
Pretty Martini!
Like many others, I was unsure of the colors (computer monitors are tricky when it comes to make-up colors), and I really liked the idea of ordering samples. I was not disappointed! Martini was a nice, shimmery color that worked great as a shadow and a liner accent, plus it gave me several uses! I will definitely be trying more. :o)

Loving Gypsy and Wicked!
I absolutely love the color of wicked! It goes on lighter than it looked in the picture but you can build the color with layering if you want. It's a smooth grey with just a hint of blue and goes great with my brown eyes!
Gypsy is also less intense than it looks in the picture, but I don't consider this a bad thing. It lets you choose how intense you want it to be. Again, works well with brown eyes and looks great with earth tones.
Spellbound is Compelling!
I love this shade. As I have noticed with the Powder Colors is; while you are working with it, it learns to work with you! Same with the pressed. The coverage is completely in your control. You can feel the loving and good, healing energy with every product and it is a favorite to add to my other favorites! With so many choices, beautiful colors, and great prices what's a girl to do? Keep buying, keep trying, and never allow yourself to run out! I just love Spellbound. A beautiful smokey plum color that goes beautiful with any eye color. Great product
I ordered 13 samples and I was pleasantly surprised with these eye shadows. So many pretty colors! They were silky and bendable. My only issue with these is the fact that they are loose and a bit messy.

I am still going through all of the various colours I ordered, but the ones I have tried so far have stayed on for 12+ hours without any creasing, smudging, or fading. I've never experienced this with any other eyeshadow. Amazing. I am a Honeybee Gardens convert.
Spellbound not Gypsy
My previous review was actually meant for Spellbound not Gypsy although I do like Gypsy just for the center of my lid. My preference is for the matte shades and I give Spellbound a thumbs up! Spellbound is a beautiful med purple shade, very soft and pretty. I do wish the list of matte shades was separated from the frosty shades so it is easier to order.
Very pretty matte shadow
I really like this shadow because it is matte. Since I am more mature in age I can't use all the sparkly shimmery shadows. Goes on nicely. Very soft.
My only eye shadow brand!
After receiving my samples and trying them out for a week, I liked them so much I tossed all of my others. The colors are beautiful, they go on easily, and the best part...they last! The couple of times I've gone to sleep with them on, I've woken up with them still vibrant and beautiful.
Finally! Eye shadow I can actually wear!
My eyes had become so sensitive I gave up wearing make-up years ago. Whatever "store" product I tried that claimed to be hypoallergenic or natural still inflamed my eyes. Whenever I tried to wear those other products, it looked and felt like I had conjunctivitis, no matter how new the product was. I couldn't be happier with the Honeybee Gardens line. I can wear the eye make-up all day without irritation. I will be purchasing more in the future. Thank you for creating a fabulous, gentle product.
Too sparkly
I tried 3 samples, and all of them were too sparkly. They left a glittery look on my cheeks. It didn't seem to have much staying power even with eye shadow primer. I really wanted these to work for me, but I'd need a matte (or light shimmer) finish.

Lots of sparkles
The shadows are great, and they last longer when water is added to them. However, some of the shimmer shadows have too much shimmer. It was all over my face.
Great Shadow!
I ordered a sample of Satin Sheets to make sure I liked it before I committed to the full size and I think it's wonderful! The sample came in a little baggy but I transferred it to another container to be eaiser to use. It has lasted a lot longer than I expected a $.50 sample to and that makes me feel that the price for the full size would be worth it.
It goes on smoothly and doesn't crease all day, which is a first for me as most shadows crease on my eyelids eventually. The color is perfect to wear all over my lid and has just the right amount of sparkle.
One downside for me was the time it took to get used to using a loose powder shadow. In the past I've mostly used pressed powder shadows and it took a little while to figure out the right amount I needed on my brush. But after a few uses I think I have a handle on it and I couldn't be happier. When my sample runs out I will definitely buy the full size and in the meantime I plan on buying some samples of other colors to play with!
feels good but too glittery
These shadows glided on like silk, however there seems to be only 2-3 colors that aren't sparkly/glittery. Two I ordered are matte, which is ok, but I was hoping there would be more of a sheer shimmer than glitter. The glitter ones are also very messy, you end up with sparkles all over you. Can't wear them to work or anything like that.
Perfect summer shadow
I recently sampled the Passageway to India mineral eye shadow and was more than pleased with the product! Perfect color to make my eyes pop out and keep my look natural--just the way I like it! I use honeybee gardens chai eyeshadow which it pairs with beautifully.
exactly what I was looking for
I bought the satin sheets color and I love it. I like that it can be light or darker depending on application. When I run out of the sample, I will definitely buy the regular size.
Beautiful Eyeshadow!
I had to stop wearing eyeshadow, a couple of years ago, due to allergic reactions. Nothing was working until I found H.B. Gardens. I'm thrilled to be able to wear makeup again. The eyeshadow goes on nicely, and I love the colors.
PowderColors Mineral Color
I got the colors Chai and Satin Sheets. You get 1-4 uses out of each sample depending on how much you use. Chai is a great brown matte color that goes well as an eyeshadow or bronzer. Satin Sheets is a lightly pigmented golden color with a lot of sparkle.
